A carefully chosen mix of natives for fast establishment, tolerant of most conditions for a screen, windbreak, and a great fast habitat for birds and insects.

Chosen to grow fast, work well together and create an attractive solid screen / windbreak for your property. Chosen to provide excellent stable habitat for a variety of friendly fauna, but not birds that dominate your area and affect fruit trees, gardens and other sensitive wildlife.

All of the species grow to compliment each other to grow into an attractive mixed windbreak, screen or mixed planting. Establishing these shrubs / trees will help to create much needed habitat for local native birds, insects and bats in your area. the shrubs provide shelter, pollen, nectar via leaves and flowers, seeds and fix nitrogen in poorer soils. The shrubs and trees will grow fast being semi pioneer species able to fix nitrogen and excel in most soils types including coastal, heavy clay, sand, rock, exposed hillsides, open areas and semi shaded areas.

We have been collecting native seed, growing and establishing native trees, shrubs, herbs and grasses since 1992, having personally planted and seeded more than a million native plants in over 500 projects. The shrubs selected are the best mix for the greatest variety of sites to establish habitat and improve properties across Tasmania and medium to high rainfall parts of southern Australia. Once established they are resistant to: short term drought, insect attack & tolerant of fire. They also offer your property protection against wind, heat, pest insect incursions (by building up native insect predators), a level of protection against bushfire by slowing the velocity of winds and seclusion from roads and neighbours.
