• When Things End Upside Down

What Is Wrong With thhis Photo?

Sometimes the unexpected happens. Rachel walked in with a coffee; “You are not going to like this but you need to look out the window as something.” From a distance something did not look right, but… Yes the propagation houses were upside down. During a storm the propagation houses – which I thought were so heavy and glued to the ground by grass and worm action they would never move – were blown over by a freak easterly gust of wind. All of the spring seedlings had just finished germinating and were nearing planting out stage: all upside down on the ceiling of the buildings. With care and patience we slowly removed, resorted and put the buildings in a new spot. (all of our small buildings are on skids or wheels just in case such a thing happens.) The new spot is sheltered with a nice bit of shade in the afternoon. Good things come from the unexpected.
